DAY 1
ARRIVAL TO RIO DE JANEIRO.
Once you arrive to Rio you will be met at the airport by one of our guides who will take you to your hotel in the heart of Copacabana, stay at your chosen hotel for four nights. (local taxes and breakfast included).
DAY 2
FULL DAY TOUR OF RIO DE JANIERO & CARNIVAL EXPERIENCE
Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and will take you to explore Rio de Janeiro. Every year, over a million visitors go to the famous Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf Mountain), an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its name was given due to the resemblance to the traditional shape of a refined sugar loaf.
The journey to the top is made in glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. At Urca Hill, passengers take the second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf, which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360 degrees view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Hill and Rio’s downtown.
The Carnaval Experience offers a guided tour of the history of Samba and Carnival in Cidade do Samba. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the artistry and imagination of Carnival by exploring the backstage, the people working and the preparations for the parade. During the tour, visitors can witness the process of construction and production of floats and more than 3.000 costumes for the show. This visit includes a guided tour to the factory of the 2022nd Carnival champion Samba School, Grande Rio. The tour also provides visitors with a chance to dress up in authentic parade costumes, experience the samba dance and enjoy a delicious Caipirinha welcome drink.
DAY 3
HALF DAY TOUR OF CHRIST THE REDEEMER.
Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and will take you to explore Rio de Janeiro. It is frequently said that God is Brazilian. The real truth is unknown, but at least a piece of him lies in the Rio statue, Christ o Redentor. Towering above the marvelous city with open arms extending almost 30 meters, since 1931, this figure has been one of the most famous symbols of Rio. It stands 100 ft tall, visible night and day from most of the city. After enjoying the visit of this ion of Rio de Janeiro your guide will take you back to your hotel.
The rest of the afternoon is for you to enjoy your hotel or just relax at the Coapacabana beach, an iconic beach of all times.
DAY 4
BIKING TOUR IN THE VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS OF RIO (half day)
“Wonderful City” is how Rio de Janeiro is affectionately called, as is a blessed city with natural beauties that compose indescribable landscapes. Not only its beauty is amazing, but its population makes it even better, as “cariocas”, how they are called, have a unique way of life that involves good music, cheerful dance, exciting sports, arts manifestations, cultural diversity and contact with nature. There are many natural parks, waterfalls, lagoons and beaches that are used as meeting points to practice sports, chat and relax in the most beautiful natural landscapes. Rio has a strong culture and traditions that can be experienced every where, in every meal and every street corner. The most known and unmissable marks are Redeem Christ, Sugarloaf Mountain, Maracanã (the heart of Brazilian soccer), and Sambódromo (where happens the carnival parade).
In this tour we will visit Flamengo beach, the historic center and Lapa, to see the Selaron staircase. On the way back, we cycle through Flamengo Park and along Copacabana beach.
DAY 5
CARIOCA COOKING CLASS EXPERIENCE (half day)
“The Cook in Rio Cooking Class is a half-day cooking class hosted by the cooking instructor, Simone Almeida and focuses on exploring various Brazilian flavours. Visitors will learn a mix of recipes and discover exotic ingredients and techniques to prepare authentic Brazilian cuisine. There are two lessons available, namely the Seafood Moqueca class and the Feijoada class, both are the most traditional dishes of Brazil.
DAY 6
VISIT TO PETROPOLIS
Take a trip through time to this stately mountain town, which once was the summer residence of Brazil's royal family and is still sometimes referred to as Brazil’s ‘Imperial City’. Set in a scenic Alpine valley, Petropolis’ key attractions include the Imperial Museum, formerly the summer palace of the second Brazilian emperor and now housing an array of opulent royal relics; the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, famous for the ‘God’s Finger (Dedo de Deus) rock formation, which resembles an index finger raised to the sky; and the Rua Teresa, Brazil’s number one retail destination, where keen shoppers can trawl a wealth of clothing stores offering quality goods at excellent prices.
DAY 7
TIJUCA PARK (half day tour)
Lace up your hiking boots and venture deep into the heart of Tijuca National Park along its network of scenic hiking trails. Wind your way through dense foliage, marvel at cascading waterfalls, and breathe in the fresh air as you immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the rainforest.
Discover iconic landmarks nestled within the park, including the towering granite peaks of Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita, offering panoramic views of the city and coastline below. Admire the majestic beauty of the Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, perched atop Corcovado Mountain.
Tijuca National Park is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species found nowhere else on earth. Keep your eyes peeled for colorful birds, playful monkeys, and exotic plant species as you explore the park's lush vegetation.
DAY 8
FLIGHT BACK HOME
Your guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel and will take you to the Rio airport in time for your flight back home.
