Arrive to Santiago where you will be met by one of our Guides who will take you directly to Valparaiso in a drive of approximately two hours. Arrive to your hotel Casa Higueras for two nights in one standard room. (local taxes and breakfast included)

On plain Cerro Alegre hill, offering breath-taking views of the Bay of Valparaiso, lies Casa Higueras, the port’s first boutique & design hotel. Keeping in line with the renowned architecture of the port’s hillsides, this five-floor mansion offers a modern flair, providing a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. It features 20 guestrooms with bathrooms, minibar, closet, air conditioning, safety-deposit box, Wi-Fi, cable TV, heating and hair dryer. In addition, it has gardens, a swimming pool, a café, parking facilities, SPA, gift shop, laundry services and room service. To top it off, it includes a bar to share pleasant moments and Montealegre restaurant, where the best options of the local cuisine can be enjoyed.

Valparaíso was an important port, a relevant commercial and logistic hub in the South Pacific Ocean. However, due to the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914 and the earthquakes and fires that affected the port at the beginning of the XX century, Valparaíso lost its leading position. Nowadays, this city has reinvented itself because it was listed as World Heritage by UNESCO; thus, tourism and Chilean boosting economy have helped to its recovery. New hotels, restaurants, art workshops and colorful murals have restored its vitality and colors. Moreover, it’s recently became the South American capital of Street Art.

Because of Valparaíso’s unique geography, the houses and buildings are built climbing up and perching on the hills and surrounding gorges. This labyrinthine verticality creates thousands of hideouts, and we can find more than one surprise behind every corner. In our tour by foot and public transportation, we will walk around Plaza Echaurren, the Port founding area, the old banking area and Cerros Concepción and Alegre, where most of the artisan workshops and art galleries are located. We will also admire the beautiful views of the Valparaíso Bay in contrast to its colorful hills from different viewpoints. We will get there in their particular elevators and also make use of the old trolleybuses to move around.

(B, L)

Today your Guide will take you from Valparaiso to Santiago de Chile, in a drive that lasts aproximatly two hours, in route you will stop to have lunch at very well known vineyard in the area, “Viñas Matetic”, which is located in the Rosario Valley, situated between the coastal valleys of Casablanca and San Antonio. The vineyards were planted in 1999, on the hillsides of this privileged area, making them the privilege to be among the pioneers of cool-climate Syrah production in Chile.

Arrive to Santiago (Airport Area) and stay in one of the Hilton hotels, booked directly by you.

(B, L)

AM: The hotel of your stay will offer you shuttles to the airport, please make sure that you arrive in time for your flight to Atacama which will take approximately 1:30.

The moai were the dominant feature of the island, but before the first images of the reconstructed sculptures emerged, the island endured one of its darkest periods, which undoubtedly holds a mystery we will attempt to unveil during this excursion. We will delve into the sunset route of this megalithic stage of Rapa Nui culture, visiting sites along the west coast where we can comprehend why the civilization was capable of self-destruction, only to rise again and continue the peak of Rapa Nui civilization.

One of the historically significant sites is Ahu Hanga Kioe: located 3 km from the village on the island's west coast near Tahai. Legend has it that this ceremonial center announced the investiture of the Ariki Henua (the king of the island). This site has been restored since 1972 by the American archaeologist William Mulloy and dates back to around 1650 AD.

There's nothing better than concluding our journey at Ahu Tahai. This archaeological site was restored between 1967 and 1968 by archaeologist William Mulloy and is one of the best places on the entire island to enjoy the sunset. The sun sets right behind the backs of the five moai, creating an idyllic image. This ceremonial complex is one of the oldest dated

sites (7th century) and includes three different Ahus (altars): Ahu Ko Te Riku, whose Moai stands at a height of 4.73 meters, weighing an estimated 20 tons. The Ahu Vai holds five different moai, and nestled between these two Ahus is Ahu Tahai, which features a Moai with coral eyes.
